Perls in WordPress
We normally take admin area with /wordpress/wp-admin
In admin the main items that are of significance are;
Posts are the sections that we frequently update. Taking the case of a blog, posts are the snippets that we usually update to the site frequently.
Pages are those that we normally see in the websites. These basically represents different sections of a blog or the site. Say About the author would be “About” page etc.
Theme comes inside the Appearance section. This determines the look and feel of the site. We can add different themes available in net to our wodprress website and then activate it.
Plugins are those that enhances the functionality. Here in wordpress we use plugins for the same thing. Examples of plugins are calendar plugin, twitter plugin etc.
In Appearance section we also have an option “Editor”. This enables us to make some tweaks in the look and feel of the site and also on some basic php functions too.
